Sustainability: An interdisciplinary approach

In this minor, I gained knowledge on sustainability from different perspectives like philosophical and communication science. These insights influenced my vision mostly by bringing attention to the different perspectives and power dynamics that must be considered for sustainable transformation. We also had to undertake an action research project, where I worked together with two other students on the biodiversity planning for the Tilburg University campus, and how the day-to-day users such as students and staff could be involved in the making of the plan.

In this project, we facilitated two co-creation sessions with a mix of staff and students, which was enjoyed by the participants, as described by one because of the “transdisciplinary knowledge sharing and collaboration”.
